About the festival
An Amazonian tradition of integrated arts
Held in Amapá for eight editions, Quebramar brings together artists from the Amazon and other regions to strengthen cultural production and Amazonian artistic diversity. In 2026, this integration extends to the Guiana region — French Guiana and Suriname — under the theme “Integrating the Guianas”. The festival takes place from 27 October to 1 November 2026 in Macapá, Amapá, with six days of events across the city.
Performing arts and cinema
Quebramar EnCena and Cine Quebramar bring performances, short films and workshops curated by the MIS.
Creative economy
14 training activities, 270 places, the Feirinha Quebramar and a Business Round with Sebrae.
Integration with the Guianas
Artists and producers from French Guiana and Suriname in concerts, panels, the Business Round and touring routes.
Free admission
Quebramar is free to attend. Some workshops and training activities have limited places and require separate registration.
Artist participation
Artists from Amapá who perform original music can apply for the Batalha de Bandas. Four acts chosen by the public will join the official programme. Registration dates will be published in the website’s news section.

Alcoholic beverages
The festival will not sell alcoholic beverages. This policy applies to the event organisers.

The art behind the identity
Caripoune Yermollay
The 2026 visual identity springs from a work by artist Caripoune Yermollay — pointillism, geometry and vibrant colours expressing the cosmology and creation narratives of the Karipuna people. In their language, what is drawn, painted and written is called Adaminã.

Three months of activities, six days of festival
Quebramar begins long before the main stage: school workshops, a new-artist selection and the official launch set up the festival week.

Storytelling, media-activism and handmade-book workshops in 8 public schools across Macapá, Santana, Mazagão and Oiapoque.

A selection of original Amapá artists across four cultural venues; the public picks four names for the official line-up.

Website launch, teaser and press reception, with the first acts and programme strands announced.
